'Little Life Pt 1' By Sarana Haeata
From her home studio in the desert country of Mparntwe / Alice Springs, Sarana explores the beauty and nuances held in shared stories, collective and individual identity and the female experience. Her paintings and ceramic work are heavily influenced by the joy and challenge of being a mum to four young daughters and is often imbued with a sense of surrender and freedom. Sarana creates complex surfaces combined with a minimalist palette and composition that in many ways mirror the underlying complexity and overall simplicity of motherhood.
